Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Welcome to Brainero. By setting up or using Brainero (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them with your child. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Brainero is
Brainero is an AI tutor (our tutor is called Lumi) for school children in Grades 1–12, tailored to the CBSE, ICSE and IB curricula. It offers step-by-step help, homework-photo solving ("Snap & Solve"), a spoken Voice Mode, adaptive practice, and a parent dashboard. Brainero is an educational aid, not a replacement for a teacher, school, or professional advice.
2. Who may use it (parental responsibility)
Brainero is for children, so a parent or guardian must set up the account, provide consent, and supervise their child's use. By setting it up, you confirm you are the parent/guardian (18 or older) and you accept these Terms on the child's behalf.
3. Free trial & subscriptions
- New users can start a 1-day free trial that includes 5 questions and 2 practice sets.
- After that, you can subscribe to the subjects you need. Plans start at ₹249/month, and pricing may vary by region, grade level and the number of subjects chosen.
- Full billing terms (price, renewal, cancellation) are shown at the time of purchase. You can manage or cancel your plan from the app.
4. Acceptable use
Please use Brainero only for a child's personal learning. Do not misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to break, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer it, by uploading unlawful or harmful content, or by using it to cheat in a way your school prohibits.
5. Your content
A child's questions, photos and answers belong to you. As described in our Privacy Policy, this content mostly stays on the device; the question (and any photo) is sent to our AI provider only to generate a response.
6. Intellectual property
Brainero, Lumi, the app, its design and content are owned by Brainero and protected by law. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for a child's learning.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. Because Lumi is an AI tutor that can make mistakes, we are not liable for actions taken based on its answers. To the extent permitted by law, Brainero's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before a claim.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
